Takichi was originally established as a retailer in Kyoto in 1971. The store was named after Takichi Murota, who started the business. We handle a variety of kimono products, namely houmongi, tsukesage, komon, shirokiji, hakama, fukuro-obi, Nagoya-obi, nagajyuban, they are all middle to high-end items. Takichi has also been specialized in custom-made original kimonos. We produce your original items such as houmongi, tomesode, tsukesage, komon, obi-ji. We produce your original kimono in partnership with craftsmen in Kyoto who are each specialized in kimono production such as designing, painting, and coloring. Since we have an established network of craftsmen to work with, we can reduce extra costs for middle-person and deliver your original kimono in an affordable range. Since there was a strong demand, we also handle second-hand items. Thanks to our valued customers, we stock a great variation of second-hand items. As someone who has been engaged in this business for a long time, we would like to see as many people enjoy the traditional culture of kimono, and we offer you fine products in an affordable price.
